2012 marks the year that we (Yvonne and Sally) went all in and put our money where our mouths were. We made the decision to attempt to make a living focusing solely on our values and our passion. That is, to do the work that was most meaningful and inspiring to us, and also the work that we felt made the best use of our skills to make a positive difference in the world.
We decided to set about creating amazing experiences around food and a sustainable way of life, in order to change people's attitudes and behaviours and create the world we all want to live in. We’re setting out to prove Ram Dass’ exquisite paradox, that “as soon as you give it all up you can have it all.”
It seems so long ago, but the seed was only planted in June this year at Failcon. Since then we have we come a long way, from being in full-time jobs and only dreaming about doing things differently, to working in our own space on our own projects on our own time. Our journey over the last 5 months has been peppered with golden moments, from sharing #mindapples and going on #inspirationdates with our heroes. Any 'jump' like this also has terrifying moments and incredible personal challenges, which we will share as we go.
This is just the beginning of what is sure to be an amazing ride - so stay tuned for more updates on how co-pilot our way into the brave new world of a start-up social enterprise.
