Killer Clothes: How to Stand Up to Fast Fashion

  • Museum of Contemporary Art 140 George Street The Rocks, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)

The fashion industry is one of the world's biggest problems. It's worth 1.5 trillion dollars per year, it's the second most polluting industry in the world after oil, and it's responsible for countless human rights violations.

Killer Clothes: How to Stand Up to Fast Fashion is about discussing the major issues of the fashion industry, how fashion industry heavyweights are solving them, and the solutions we can all apply to our shopping habits, because, unlike other huge problems in the world, the fashion industry affects us all every day.

Ethicist Sascha Callaghan, renowned Australian designer Celeste Tesoriero, General Manager of Patagonia Australia, Dane O'Shanassy, and Brand Manager of Cue, Kate Bielenberg, will discuss the challenges, the ways they are solving them, and the strategies we can adopt to stand up to fast fashion.

This event is part of Vivid Sydney and is presented by Well Made Clothes.
