Bold Corporate Sustainability Visions

After having to postpone this seminar at the last minute in August, we are pleased to announce it has been rescheduled for Monday 24 November. This event was sold out last time, please RSVP by COB Friday 7 November to secure your place.

Developing vision for sustainability that goes beyond incremental change is an on-going challenge for many businesses. In this special seminar, BERN in association with leading sustainability consultancy Morphosis, is excited to present insights into vision building from two companies at the forefront of corporate sustainability.

Grosvenor Group and Mirvac are leading property groups, from Britain and Australia respectively, that have launched new sustainability visions which could well be considered bolder and more ambitious than most of their peers. Grosvenor is privately owned with $21 Billion of assets on four continents, including ownership of the famous London suburbs of Mayfair and Belgravia. Mirvac is one of Australia's major property brands, an ASX 50 company with $9.2 Billion of assets. Grosvenor's ‘Living Cities’ vision sees them playing a leading role in helping to shape the long-term sustainability of cities around the world, while Mirvac's sustainability strategy 'This Changes Everything’ sets goals which will challenge and stretch thinking and practices in all areas of property.

This seminar will present the global sustainability leaders from both of these organisations and explore how they created their ambitions visions and are looking to provide new levels of leadership in their respective markets.

Speakers:

Kate Brown is Grosvenor's Group Director of Sustainability and is visiting from London. She sits on Grosvenor's group executive, oversees sustainability activities across the business globally and lead an extensive process to create ‘Living Cities’ in a way which is integral with the business and owned by its people.

Paul Edwards, Mirvac's Group General Manager Sustainability, recently returned to Sydney from London where he headed sustainability for Hammerson, a UK corporate sustainability leader. He has created ‘This Changes Everything’ in order to build on Mirvac’s past work with sustainability and generate even greater value from it.
